MEDMA’s Impulse series continues at Necto in Ann Arbor- this time, we present Windsor’s Justin James.
We spent quite a bit of time trying to dig for more stuff off of the beaten path, and we’re hoping the result was eclectic and enjoyable enough to listen to. And as always, feedback’s appreciated. -Eb/Flo
I recorded this live with wheels of steel and traktor like I usually do. This sort of is a mix between tech house and deep house. I really like all of these tracks a lot, hopefully you all will enjoy them too. – Brian Jennings
This is a different mix of mine, in sorts, in that many of the tracks aren’t very new. Many of them have an old Detroit sound. Aaron-Carl, Kris Wadsworth, Kyle Hall, and K-Hand are from Detroit. I really enjoyed the very soulful, very organic tunes that I heard at shows recently, and tried to incorporate this sound into my mix. I find it very danceable while also enjoyable to sit and listen to. I do hope that you take a listen, and let me know what you think! -Sean Masters
I haven’t made a mix in quite some time, so I tried to showcase the sound that I’ve been listening to for the past year. Some of my favorite tracks in this mix are ‘Burka’ (thank you Hunter), ‘Strange Neighbors’, and ‘Infernal’. Thanks for listening! -DJ Gisi
